Bethany Places 46 on Presidents’ Athletic Conference Honor Roll
Greenville, Pa - Bethany College featured 46 student-athletes on the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) 2019 Spring Academic Honor Roll announced the league office.
Leading the way for Bethany were the women's basketball team and baseball team, who placed seven student-athletes each. Women's track and field and men's tennis were next with six student-athletes each, followed by softball (5), men's lacrosse (3), women's lacrosse (3), men's track and field (3), men's swimming and diving (2), and women's swimming and diving (2). Men's basketball and men's golf rounded out the spring sports with one apiece.
The PAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes on varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.
Last year, a combined total of 1,097 PAC student-athletes were recognized on the PAC Academic Honor Rolls (528 fall, 569 spring).
Grove City College led the nine full-time league schools with 81 student-athletes earning PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition. Saint Vincent College was next with 73 and was followed by Chatham University (66), Washington & Jefferson College (64), Waynesburg University (63), Thiel College (60), Westminster College (59), Geneva College (52) and Bethany College (46).
