Bethany Athletics Announces Spectator Policy for 2021-22 Season

Bethany, W.Va. ­– The Bethany College Department of Athletics has announced a revised attendance policy starting August 23, for all home athletic events during the 2021-22 seasons. All Bison athletics venues will welcome fans back at full capacity starting with the first home events in August.

"I want to thank our fans for their patience and understanding throughout the past year," stated Director of Athletics Mike Worrell. "This is great news for our Bison community and our scholar-athletes, it adds to the excitement and anticipation for Bison competition."

Fans attending indoor facilities will need to be masked properly, regardless of vaccination status. Players, coaches, and team personnel must be masked from arrival to facilities until on their competition surface when indoors. Failure to comply with campus masking regulations can result in dismissal from the event and facility.

Fans attending outdoor facilities should do their best to comply with social distancing. Failure to comply with campus masking regulations can result in dismissal from the event and facility.

Bethany College athletics concession stand and tailgating will be permitted for all home football games.

Spectator policy is subject to change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The athletics department will continue working with the college, local and state officials to monitor and follow health and safety protocols based on current conditions.
