Bethany Completes Series Sweep

Bethany, W.Va - The Bethany College baseball team took on the Saint Vincent Bearcats Wednesday afternoon at Bethany Park. Bethany swept the series over Saint Vincent.

Bethany rolled past Saint Vincent, 4-1

The Bearcats lead the game off with a solo lead-off homerun. Tyler Frazee didn't let that effect the way he threw throughout the game. Frazee threw seven innings giving up five hits and struck out five. The Bison tied the ballgame at one in the bottom of the sixth from a Kyle Goodwin single to right field that drove in pinch runner Kevin Pollock. The green and white attacked again in the bottom of the seventh. Ethan Young drove in the speedy Brandon Wagner to give the Bison the lead, 2-1. Batters later, Kevin Roach singled to left field to drive in Young. Bethany led 3-1 after seven. The Bison added on an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth from a long solo shot from Tyler Alworth.

The Bethany College Bison travels to Greenville, Pa for a PAC doubleheader against Thiel on Saturday. First pitch is set for 1 pm. On Sunday, the Bison will host Thiel for a nine inning game. The Bison will wear pink on Sunday for their annual Pink Out game.
