Baseball Earns Series Win Over Geneva

Bethany, W.Va - The Bethany College baseball team took on the Geneve Golden Tornadoes in a PAC nine inning contest Wednesday afternoon. The Bison clipped the Golden Tornadoes 6-4.

Bethany defeated Geneva, 6-4

The Bison took a 2-0 lead in the second inning and were in control for the rest of the ballgame. A sacrifice fly off the bat of Tyler Alworth scored Jake Stemmerich. Kyle Goodwin doubled moments later to drive in Kevin Roach. Bethany added another run in the fifth inning off of a Seth Gordon single scoring Brandon Wagner. In the sixth inning, Brandon Wagner got caught in a pickle, allowing Kyle Goodwin to score. After six innings, Bethany led 6-0. The Golden Tornadoes attempted to comeback but fell short. Isaac Wengert earned the save, mowing down two batter and keeping Geneva off base.
