Woods named to ABCA/Rawlings Mideast All-Region Third Team

Greensboro, N.C – The 2019 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee. Bethany College senior baseball player Neil Woods (Pittsburgh, Pa | North Allegheny) was selected 2019 Mideast All-Region Third Team.

Woods led the Bison in majority offensive categories finishing his senior year career batting .418 with 43 runs batted in, seven homeruns, 64 hits, and 38 runs scored.

The Pittsburgh native is arguably one of Bethany's best defensive players in school history, holding the school record for put outs in a career and single season, while holding the record for most double plays in a season/career and sits fourth on the all-time school list for fielding percentage (.987). Woods collected his 150 hit against Grove City in the PAC Tournament and sits sixth on the all-time list with 96 runs batted in.

Woods is one of seven PAC athletes that were selected to Mideast All-Region teams.
