GREENVILLE, Pa. (Nov. 6) - After helping the Bison to their first win of the season, Bethany College junior linebacker Joseph Fiasco (Wilmerding, Pa./Penn-Trafford) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week announced the league office Monday afternoon.

Fiasco, who has now earned the honor in back-to-back weeks, led the Bison defense and totaled a game-high 13 tackles (10 solo) to go along with 2.0 tackles for loss and an interception in Saturday's 43-34 win at Grove City. His 42-yard interception return halted a Wolverine drive and setup a Bison field goal late in the second quarter.

Fiasco is tied for the team and conference lead with 9.8 tackles per game. The Penn-Trafford alum is tied for sixth in the PAC with 10.5 tackles for loss, while his 3.0 sacks are tied for 18th in the league. He remains the only member of the Bison football team to earn a weekly honor this season.

Fiasco and the rest of the Bethany football team will conclude the season on Saturday, November 11 when they travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to take on Saint Vincent at 1 p.m.
