Gibson named to D3football.com 2018 All-South Region Team

Bethany, WV (BethanyBison.com) – Bethany College senior defensive lineman Daniel Gibson (Braddock, Pa/ Woodland Hills) earned D3Football.com 2018 All-South Region honors Tuesday morning. Gibson was named to the All-South Region Third Team Defense.

The Bethany senior defensive lineman was in the top three in all defensive categories on the team. Gibson led the team in tackles for loss (17-54 yards), fumbles recovered (4), and second on the team in tackles (56), sacks (5), and fumbles forced (2).

Earning All-PAC honors, Gibson ranked first in the conference with fumbles recovered (4), third in tackles for loss (17 – 54 yards) and tackles (linemen-ends) (56), and fifth in forced fumbles (2).

Gibson is the sixth Bethany player to earn All-South from D3football.com since its regional awards began in 2005. He is also the first Bethany player to be named to the D3Football.com All-Region Team since 2016, when linebacker Donavan Hayden was named All-Region First Team- Defense.
