LAST MEETING: The Bethany College football team was dealt a 34-13 loss in its season-opening game against Ursinus last season.

THE WRIGHT TIME: Senior All-PAC Second Team running back Raekwon Wright is the likely candidate to get the bulk of the carries again this season. Wright ran for 485 yards and three touchdowns last season, while making 20 receptions for 137 yards and three touchdowns. Wright became the all-time career leader for kick/punt return yards last season.

DEFENSIVE STAND: The Bison return all-conference performers on the defensive line, including seniors Daniel Gibson and Chas Blango. The Bison defense looks to continue to be a threat in the PAC, last season, the green and white defense held opponents to average of 17.3 points and 268.3 yards a game.

HARD TO REPLACE: The Bison defense looks to replace All-PAC First Team linebacker Joe Fiasco. Fiasco led the green and white in tackles, forced fumbles, and finished fourth on the team in sacks.

LEADING THE HERD: Senior quarterback Carlin Bason looks to continue to lead the Bison on offense. Bason rushed for 670 yards (6th in the PAC), threw for 964 yards, and finished in the top five of the PAC in passing and total offense.

125 YEARS OF BETHANY FOOTBALL: Each week Bethany Gamenotes will consist of a look back in Bison football history. Bethany will play its 125th season of football in 2019 and the Bison will celebrate the rich tradition and history of the program throughout the year by honoring the great games, moments, teams, players, coaches and staff from the past on November 9. Kickoff is set for 1:25 pm.

A LOOK BACK IN TIME: Taylor McNeil recorded 178 kickoff return yards against Muskingum on September, 2 2006. In 1991, Dan Rovira set a game high 21 tackles against Mercyhurst on September 7.
