The Bison defense was led by senior Joseph Fiasco who posted 10 tackles, six of which were solo. Junior running back Raekwon Wright rushed 50 yards on 19 carries, while junior Carlin Bason went 44 yards on eight.

125 YEARS OF BETHANY FOOTBALL: Each week Bethany Game notes will consist of a look back in Bison football history. Bethany will play its 125th season of football in 2019 and the Bison will celebrate the rich tradition and history of the program throughout the year by honoring the great games, moments, teams, players, coaches and staff from the past on November 9. Kickoff is set for 1:25 pm.

A LOOK BACK IN TIME: On September 18, 1982 head coach Wally Neel opened the 1982 season with a 19-2 victory over Oberlin College which continued Bethany's winning streak at home since 1979. On September 26, 1981 the Bison football team extended their winning streak to 17 with a 17-6 victory over John Carroll University. On September 27, 2014, the football team (3-1, 2-0 PAC) kept the good times rolling, as they won their third-straight contest, a 33-27 victory over Waynesburg University. The 3-1 start to open the season marks the Bison's best start since the 2001 campaign.

NEXT WEEK: The Bison will travel to Washington, Pa for a PAC matchup against the W&J Presidents' on October 5, at 2 pm.
