Bison Unable to Overcome Early Deficit to Titans

After a rainy weather delay Bethany College Football hosted the Westminster Titans in a PAC contest late Saturday evening. The Bison fell to the Titans 45-9 in the first home contest of the season.

Game Overview

The Bison jumped out to quick lead over the Titans after senior quarterback Carlin Bason ran for a 54 yard touchdown. The green and white's lead didn't last long though. The Titans took the ball 74 yards to take a 7-6 over the Bison.

In the second quarter, the Titans added to their lead, scoring a touchdown in the opening minutes. Bethany would answer with points of their own coming from a 42 yard field goal off the foot of Sean Cole. Westminster would tack on 14 more points before the half. The Bison trailed 28-9 at the half.

In the second half, the Titans had full control of the game, adding 17 points to their already commanding lead.
