Football: Second Half Surge Lifts Geneva over Bethany
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Bethany College football team traveled to Geneva College for a PAC matchup on Reeves Field, Saturday evening. The Golden Tornadoes used a second half surge to defeat the Bison 34-6.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Geneva struck first in the first quarter on an 18-yard touchdown pass. The Golden Tornadoes led 7-0 after the first quarter.
- In the second quarter, Bethany reached the board after quarterback Marquice Robinson ran for one yard. The Bison trailed 7-6 heading into the halftime break.
- Geneva scored 13 points in the third quarter and 14 points in the fourth to take a 34-6 victory.
BY THE NUMBERS
- (408) – The Bison totaled 408 yards of offense with 220 yards coming from the air.
- (3) – The Green and White punted three times for a total of 57 yards.
- (0) – The Bison offensive line held the Golden Tornadoes defensive to zero sacks for the first time this season.
