GREENVILLE, Pa. (Dec. 4) – After helping the Bison to a pair of league wins, Bethany College senior guard Calique Jones (Pittsburgh, Pa./Obama Academy) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week announced the league office Monday.

Jones scored 16 points on 6-of-9 (66 percent) shooting with four rebounds in a 70-60 win over Geneva on Wednesday, before posting an identical 16-point, four-rebound performance with four assists and two steals in a 72-65 win over defending league-champion Thomas More on Saturday.

The Pittsburgh native currently ranks second in the PAC with 17.3 points per game. He slots eighth in the conference with a 53.4 shooting percentage, including a 53.6 three-point field goal percentage. Defensively, Jones ranks fourth in the PAC with 1.9 steals per game and is playing a league-high 34 minutes per game.

Earlier this season, Jones became the 26th player in the history of the program to surpass the 1,000 career-point mark. He currently sits at 1,070 points, which ranks 23rd all-time and four points behind former Bison Delonte' Joyce (2011-15).

A two-time PAC Honorable Mention honoree, Jones is the first Bison men's basketball player to earn the league's top weekly award since former Bethany guard Antonio Rudolph (2013-17) earned the laurel on January 4, 2016.

Jones and the rest of the Bison are on the road twice this week. Bethany will travel to Waynesburg on Wednesday, December 6 for a 7:30 p.m. tip and conclude the week in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania at Westminster for a game at 3:30 p.m.
