Bethany earns ECAC bid; will host PSU-Altoona Wednesday

DANBURY, Conn. (Feb. 26) – The Bethany College men's basketball team has earned a bid to play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men's Basketball Championship this week announced the organization Monday afternoon.

Bethany earned a No. 1 seed in its pod and will host Penn State Altoona (17-9) in an opening round game on Wednesday, February 28 at the Hummel Field House. A familiar face will join the Bison on their side of the bracket, as Westminster will host Medaille College in the pod's other game. The winners of those two games will meet in the quarterfinal round.

Wednesday's first round winners in the tournament will advance to Friday's quarterfinal round, which is being hosted by Wilkes University (18-8) at the Marts Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Wilkes, as this weekend's host, received a first round bye.

The semifinals are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday with the title game slated for Sunday at 12 p.m.
