Men's Basketball Struggles Continue

Beaver Falls, Pa – The Bethany College men's basketball team opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play against the Geneva Golden Tornadoes Wednesday evening. The Bison struggles continue falling 71-47 to the Golden Tornadoes. Sophomore Khalil Wilson led the Bison with 13 points and five steals.

GAME OVERVIEW

Both teams struggled to get a bucket in the opening minutes of the first half. The Bison lifted the lid with a jumper from junior guard, Dalton Hamrick. The Green and White held the Golden Tornadoes scoreless until almost four minutes into the game. Neither team really got moving until the under ten minute mark of the first half, with Geneva jumped ahead of Bethany and began to take a lead. The Bison were held scoreless for four minutes until Brendan Riggs hit a three cutting the lead to 24-17. The Green and White trailed at the half 30-20.

Bethany opened up the second half with a layup from Khalil Wilson, but Geneva had an answer, scoring seven straight, building the deficit 37-22. The Golden Tornadoes held a double-digit lead over the Bison for the remainder of the game.
