Men's Basketball Falls to No. 5 IUP

Indiana, Pa – The Bethany College men's basketball team traveled to Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex to face the Division II fifth-ranked IUP men's basketball team for a non-conference matchup Sunday afternoon. The Crimson Hawks rolled passed the Bison hitting the century mark, 108-41.

GAME OVERVIEW

The Crimson Hawks jumped out to a quick 10-1 lead. Ioannis Bakodimos gave the Bison their first field goal of the game, hitting a jumper from behind the arc. The Bison battled and cut the Crimson Hawk lead to 12-7 after Craig Sauers hit a three. IUP rebuilt their lead back up to ten and kept building in the final ten minutes of the half. Bethany trailed 49-23 at the half. It was all the Crimson Hawks in the second half, scoring 59 points. IUP shot 54.4 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the arc. The Crimson Hawks hustled the Bison on the boards, outrebounding the Green and White 49-25.
