Bison Roll Past Lions

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Bethany College men's lacrosse took on Mount St. Joseph in a non-conference tilt Monday afternoon. The Bison rolled past the Lions, 11-4.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Bison took a 3-0 lead with 7:29 to go in the first period. Jake Gerber scored first for the green and white. With 13:39 to go in the first period, Nick Melita scored to put the Bison ahead 2-0. Clay Yingling added another Bison goal with 7:29 to go in the first. Mt. St. Joseph scored a goal with 27 seconds to go in the period.

In the second period, the Lions cut the Bison lead to one, but the green and white added two goals to take a 5-2 lead. Tristan Shaffer and Will Gatling scored for the Bison.

Will Gatling started the third period with a goal, and scored minutes later, extending the Bison lead to 7-2. Anthony Helias scored with 1:35 left in the third period making the game 8-2.

The Bison tacked on three goals extending the lead 11-2. Tristan Shaffer, Nick Meltia, and Clay Yingling all scored. The green and white would give up two goals to the Lions, ending the game 11-4.
