Bethany Defeated 3-0 by Franciscan

Sept. 17 - STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - The Bethany men's soccer team dropped a non-conference match with Franciscan, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bison had a chance to get on the board first but freshman Jose Arzate's (Waller, Tx. / Waller) header went wide in the 19th minute. 

Just seven minutes later, the Barons scored the first goal of the game. Then in the 31st minute, the hosts added their second goal before the break.

Following half time, Franciscan added another goal just four minutes into the second half to make it 3-0.

From there, the Bison were able to get several shots on goal, but nothing was able to get through the keeper.

With the loss, Bethany now stands at 2-3-2 on the season. Their next game will be this Wednesday, Set. 21 when they travel to Pitt-Greensburg. Kickoff is slated for 3:30p.m.
