Men's Soccer Earns Win in Home Opener

Match Overview

The Bethany College men's soccer team faced Pitt-Greensburg in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon. The Bison surged past the Bobcats to win their home opener and first win of the season. Bethany scored two goals in the first half to seal the victory. Anthony Bradden scored five minutes into the match from a James Abbott assist and minutes before the half, a John Lee header to Ramiro Veiga added to the Bison's lead.

With the win, head coach Frankie Taal earned his first victory as the Bison's head coach. Taal is no stranger to winning at Hoag Field, spending almost a decade playing and as an assistant coach at Bethany. The green and white are now 1-3, while Pitt-Greensburg falls to 0-3.
