Swimming & Diving teams take on Franciscan, Cabrini

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (Dec. 9) - The Bethany College swimming & diving teams traveled to Franciscan University for a tri-meet with Cabrini College Saturday afternoon.
The Bison women were defeated by both Franciscan (120-56) and Cabrini (275-71), while the Bison men were defeated by Cabrini 127-42 (Franciscan does not sponsor a men's team).
Freshman Sarafina Wilson posted a victory in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall at two minutes, 34.68 seconds to finish first.
The Bethany men also were victorius in the 200 backstroke, as junior Chayne Stresky (Oxford, Mich./Oxford) won the event at two minutes, 0.92 seconds.
The Bison will have a break for the holidays and return to the pool on Friday, January 19 when they host Hiram for a non-conference meet at 6 p.m.
