Men's Tennis drops season-opener to Franciscan

ROBINSON, Pa. (Feb. 22) - The Bethany College men's tennis team opened the 2018 season with a 9-0 loss to Franciscan at the Western Area YMCA Indoor Tennis Center Thursday afternoon.

The Bison (0-1) fell behind early after suffering losses in all three doubles matchups and were unable to recover in singles play. Senior Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) battled but dropped No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2. Junior Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) also managed to notch points, but was defeated 6-3, 6-2 as well.

The Bison are back in action this Saturday, February 24 when they travel to Westerville, Ohio to take on Otterbein University at 1 p.m.
