Bethany drops match to Waynesburg, 7-2

BETHANY, W.Va. (April 10) - The Bethany College men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by Waynesburg in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Ewing Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After losing all three doubles matchups to fall behind 3-0, the Bison got on the board with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles by freshman Tyler Beck (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin).
- The match had already been decided, but that did not stop junior Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) from battling to a hard earned three-set win over Waynesburg's Josh Denham at No. 2 singles.
- Berlin and Denham needed three tie-breakers, before Berlin pulled out the 6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-8) victory.
- Berlin is now 6-3 at No. 2 singles this season, including four-straight wins.

- Bethany returns to action on Friday, April 13 when they host Pitt.-Greensburg for a non-conference match at 3:30 p.m.
