Men's tennis clipped by Muskingum, 5-4

BETHANY, W.Va. (April 4) - The Bethany College men's tennis team was defeated 5-4 by Muskingum in a non-conference match at the Ewing Tennis Courts Thursday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite losing at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, senior Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and junior Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) grabbed the Bison a point with a convincing 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.
- Ray and Berlin were equally as dominant at the top two singles positions, winning each in straight sets for Bethany.
- Junior Danny Booth (Manchester, England/Poynton) notched his first win of the season with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles over Gordie German of Muskingum.
- Bethany struggled on the bottom half of singles play. The Bison lost at the fourth, fifth and sixth singles spots to clinch the win for the visiting Muskies.

- Bethany returns to action tomorrow, Friday, April 13 when they host Pitt.-Greensburg for a match at 3:30 p.m.
