Men's tennis defeats Thiel, 6-3

GREENVILLE, Pa. (April 20) - The Bethany College men's tennis team earned its first win of the season with a 6-3 victory over Thiel in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany started strong with a 2-1 lead after doubles play. The No. 1 doubles team of senior Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) won 8-3, while the tandem of senior Adam Franco (Inglewood, Calif./Carter) and junior Danny Booth (Manchester, England/Poynton) claimed No. 2 doubles with an 8-4 win.
- Ray, Berlin, and Booth each claimed singles victories to secure the first-win of the season for Bethany, while Franco picked up a well-earned 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles.
UP NEXT
- Bethany returns to action on Sunday, April 22 when they travel to Frostburg, Maryland to take on Frostburg State at 12 p.m.
- The match will be played at Mountain Ridge High School.
