PAC names Sallah-Mohammed Field Athlete of the Week

GREENVILLE, Pa. (Jan. 29) – After establishing a personal-record and an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark in the triple jump on Saturday, Bethany College sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Field Athlete of the Week announced the league Monday afternoon.

Sallah-Mohammed established a new indoor-outdoor personal record in the triple jump with a leap of 44 feet, 8.25 inches (13.61 meters) at the SPIRE Institute Midwest Open. The distance eclipsed the qualifying standard for the ECAC Indoor Championships in February and is now the top mark in the PAC this season.

It is the third PAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor for Sallah-Mohammed and second this season. The Arlington, Virginia native was named PAC Field Athlete of the Week in early December and also earned the nod last season on February 6, 2017.

Sallah-Mohammed and the Bison track & field team's will return to competition on Saturday, February 3 when they head to Alliance, Ohio for the Mount Union Jim Wuske Invitational.
