NEW ORLEANS (March 6) – Sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) and junior Marshall Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) were each named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region for the 2018 NCAA Division III indoor track & field season announced the organization.

Sallah-Mohammed earned all-region honors in both the triple and the long jump. He established a new personal-record in the triple jump with a mark of 14.41 meters (47 feet, 3.5 inches) at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championships last week. Sallah-Mohammed won the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) crown in the event the week prior. The Arlington, Virginia native won the long jump at the WVU Pushkin Classic with a season-best leap of 7.03 meters (23 feet, 0.75 inches) and placed third overall at both the PAC and ECAC Championships in the event.

Murray was named USTFCCA All-Region in the 800-meter run with his season-best time of one minute, 54.96 seconds at the Baldwin Wallace Mid-February Meet. He finished second in the event at both the ECAC and PAC Championships and missed the cut for the national championships in Alabama by five-tenths of a second.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-three relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season. Bethany is a member of the Great Lakes region.

A total of 772 honors were handed out to men's athletes, while 781 awards were bestowed to athletes from women's programs.
