MEADVILLE, Pa. (May 11) - Sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) broke the school-record in the long jump at the Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College Friday night, as a group of Bethany track & field athletes tried to improve their outdoor marks.

Sallah-Mohammed took second overall in the long jump with a mark of 7.30 meters on his final attempt, breaking the school-record in the process. His mark has him sitting seventh on the NCAA Division III Performance List with the National Championships less than two weeks away in Wisconsin. Sallah-Mohammed also won the triple jump at the event with a distance of 14.45 meters. His school-record jump at the Bethany Invitational earlier this year of 14.68 meters still ranks 14th in the country.

Junior Marshall Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) ran a season-best time in the 800-meter run, crossing the tape at one minute, 54.65 seconds to finish fifth overall.

The Bison will send athletes to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Outdoor Championships on Wednesday and Thursday, May 16-17 in Baltimore, Maryland. Johns Hopkins University will serve as the host school for the event.
