LA CROSSE, Wisc. (May 26) - Bethany College men's track and field sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) claimed sixth-place in the long jump on Thursday afternoon at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships to earn All-America status in the event.

Sallah-Mohammed established identical marks of 7.23 meters (23 feet, 8.75 inches) on both his first and final attempts to claim sixth place and a spot on the podium (the top-eight earn All-America honors). He is the first All-American since 2015 when former Bison Umar Moore took eighth place in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships.

Sallah-Mohammed also competed in the triple jump on Saturday afternoon at the national championships, where he placed 10th overall with a jump of 14.64 meters (48 feet, 0.5 inches) and barely missed out on the finals of the event (top-nine advanced).
