Bison Swept by Knights

Kissimmee, Fl - The Bethany College softball team competed in the Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida Wednesday afternoon. The Bison were swept by Mt. St. Mary and Geneseo.

Game One Overview
Bethany fell to Mt. St. Mary (NY), 7-6 (8 Innings)

The Bison struck first in the top of the second. Kathleen Fuchs walked scoring Jennifer Oberthur. Moments later Erica Amoroso walked, scoring Gabby Capaldi. Kayla Dinsmore doubled scoring Amoroso and Fuchs. A Tyra Bell ground out to the pitcher scored Emily Folk and Kaitlyn Mills reached on an error scoring Dinsmore. The Bison led the Knights, 6-1 after two innings. The Knights climbed back scoring in the fourth, 6-2, and scoring four runs in the bottom of the sixth to knot the ballgame at 6-6. The Bison struggled to get a run across in the seventh inning taking the game to extra innings. In the eighth, with international tiebreaker rules, each team started with a runner at second. Bethany was unable to score the runner from second. In the bottom half of the inning, the Knights plated the runner that started at second, giving them the walk off win.
