Westminster Sweeps Bethany

New Wilmington, Pa - The Bethany College softball team took on the Westminster Titans in a PAC doubleheader on Thursday afternoon. The Bison were swept by the Titans.   

Game One Overview

Westminster downed Bethany, 12-7   

The Titans scored two quick runs in the bottom of the first. In the third inning the Bison knotted the game at 2-2 from an Emily Folk single to centerfield scoring Janaya Hazlip and Fran Capaldi. The Titans answered back in the bottom of the third scoring four runs. However, the green and white knotted the ballgame again scoring four runs of their own in the fourth inning. Gabby Capaldi drove in Jen Oberthur. Moments later, Paige Allen drove in Tyra Bell on an bunt single. Fran Capaldi kept the inning going singling to right field scoring her sister Gabby. Finaly, Paige Allen scored off an error from the second basemen. It was a game of back and forth, with the Titans taking the lead again in the fourth and fifth inning. The Bison added one final run in the seventh inning but would fall short of the win.

The Titans were in control game two winning 9-0 in five innings. The Bison were held to one hit coming from Emily Folk.
