Bethany Swimming and Diving Loses to Baldwin Wallace

Bethany, W.Va - The Bison swimming and diving team dropped its home opening meet against Baldwin and Wallace on Saturday afternoon. The men lost nine of 11 events contested and the women lost in all 11 events contested.


Senior Cheyne Stresky (Oxford, Mich. /Oxford) won the only two events for the Bison. Stresky swam a 2:01.84 in the Men 200 backstroke giving him first in the event. In the Men 500 freestyle, Stresky touched the wall in 5:08.58 giving him the win.

Damon Chafins (Calcutta, Ohio/Beaver Local) came in second for the Bison in the Men 200 butterfly finishing in 2:23.42 and Mark Tichenor (Brentwood, Pa/Brentwood) finished second in the Men 100 freestyle hitting the wall in 56.07 seconds.


For the women, freshmen Micki Webster (Moon Township, Pa /Moon Area) placed second in the 100 freestyle hitting the wall in 1:00.45.


The Bison are back in the pool Wednesday Dec. 5 in a PAC matchup against Washington and Jefferson. The meet is set to start at 6 p.m.
