Daugherty tabbed PAC Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Pa. - Jan. 9 - After tallying two double-doubles in two Bethany College victories last week, junior Kelsey Daugherty (Newport, Ohio/Frontier) was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week announced the league on Monday.

During the week, Daugherty averaged 25 points, 12 rebounds and one assist in wins over Saint Vincent and Thiel. She has registered three consecutive double-doubles, dating back to the 68-62 Bethany win against Westminster on Dec. 19.

In the 65-46 road win against Saint Vincent, Daugherty led the team with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

On Saturday, Daugherty continued her strong play posting 25 points and 13 boards in a 70-67 victory over Westminster at home.

This is the second time this season that the forward has earned Player of the Week laurels with the first coming on November 21. 

Daugherty and the Bison sit at fifth place in the conference at 7-6 (4-2, PAC) and are winners of their last three. They return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Washington and Jefferson to take on the Presidents with tip scheduled for 6:00p.m.
