Daugherty earns D3Hoops.com Team of the Week laurels

BETHANY, W.Va. (Jan. 24) – Bethany College women's basketball junior forward Kelsea Daugherty (Newport, Ohio/Frontier) was named to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week announced the organization Tuesday morning.

Daugherty, who was also named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week on Monday, averaged 30.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 36.5 minutes per game and shot 59.5 percent (22-of-37) from the floor in a pair of wins last week over Chatham and Waynesburg.

She scored a career-high 34 points and added 13 rebounds in Saturday's 76-69 road win at Waynesburg, the program's first over the Yellow Jackets since January 26, 2011. Earlier in the week she totaled 26 points and 12 boards in an 83-78 win over Chatham.

The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 20th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.

Daugherty and the rest of the Bison return to the hardwood tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25 when they host Geneva at 6 p.m.
