Pittsburgh, Pa- The Bethany College Women's Basketball team was handed their second loss of the season to Carnegie Mellon Tuesday evening in a 76-51 contest. The Bison are now 3-2, while Carnegie Mellon stays unbeaten at 5-0.

The Green and White were led by senior Ashley Duthie (Madison, Oh/Madison) with 16 points and six rebounds. The Bison led in the first couple of minutes in the game with a steal from Hazlip that would lead to a Duthie layup, before the Tartans pull away to a 25-11 first quarter. Defense would slow the Tartan's scoring in the second quarter but the Bison couldn't climb out of a 16 point deficit. The Green and White would trail by as much as 29 in the course of the game, before losing by 25. The length and the size of the Tartans proved to be too much for the Bison to handle as the Tartans out rebounded the Bison 43-36 and had 16 second chance points. The Green and White gave Carnegie Mellon 24 points off of 24 turnovers.
