Turnovers Prove Costly as Bison Fall to Wolverines

Bethany, W.Va – The Bethany College women's basketball team returned to Hummel Field House Tuesday evening for a PAC contest against the Grove City Wolverines. Bison turnovers proved costly giving the Wolverines a 77-31 win over the Green and White. Freshman Samaria Murry led the Bison with a career high 10 points.

GAME OVERVIEW

Bethany held a 5-2 lead over the course of the first three minutes of the game. Grove City went on a 14-0 run to take command of the game. Bethany battled back to cut the lead to 16-9 at the end of the first. Over the course of the second quarter, the Wolverines extended their lead to 41-18 at the break. Over the course of the second half the Bison saw the Wolverine lead extend to as many as 46 and was held to just five points in the final stanza. The Wolverine pressure defense proved to be a hassle for the Bison forcing 39 turnovers and led to 50 of the 77 Wolverine points.
