First Half Deficit Too Much for Bison to Overcome
Bethany, W.Va – The Bethany College women's basketball team returned to Hummel Field House for a PAC matchup against the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The Bison fell to the Bearcats, 79-58. Makayla Reynolds led the Green and White with 13 points and eight rebounds.
GAME OVERVIEW
Bethany and Saint Vincent battled in the opening minutes, with the Bearcats opening up with a quick layup off the opening tip. Allison Kuhn hit a three for the Bison to knot the game at 3-3. The Bearcats answered back with a made jumper. The Green and White kept battling to stay in the game, but the Bearcats took advantage of missed opportunities and built a lead and settled in. Bethany trailed 27-15 at the end of one.
In the second stanza, the Bison struggled to find the basket while the Bearcats capitalized to build a commanding lead, outscoring the Bison, 22-10. Bethany trailed 49-25 at the break.
The Green and White played a better second half, outscoring the Bearcats 33-30. Unfortunately, the first half deficit was too much for the Bison to overcome.
