Women's Lacrosse: Bearcats Use Strong First Half to Defeat Bison
Latrobe, Pa. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team faced the Saint Vincent College Bearcats in a PAC match Tuesday afternoon. Saint Vincent used a strong first period to lift the Bearcats over the Bison.

Final Score: Saint Vincent 18, Bethany 10
Records: Bethany (5-8, 1-4), Saint Vincent (9-6, 4-2)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint Vincent struck the back of the net first but Bethany's Abbie Carpenter knotted the game at 1-1 with 7:18 to go in the first period.
- The Bearcats scored the next five goals to take a 6-1 lead after the first period.
- In the second period, the Bearcats scored fifteen seconds into the period.
- A minute later, Alex Taylor added a goal for the Bison.
- After two Bearcat goals, Carpenter scored her second goal of the game to cut the lead to six.
- The Bison trailed 11-4 heading into halftime.
- The second half the Bison and Saint Vincent went back and forth with the Bearcats outscoring the Bison 7-6.
BISON TOP PERFORMERS
- Rikiah Wise led the Bison with four goals and one assist.
- Cassidy Mailloux added three goals with three groundballs, 10 draw control and three caused turnovers.
- Abbie Carpenter had two goals while Alexa Taylor added one goal.
- Joanna Melita had one assist.
