Women's Lacrosse: Bison close out non-conferece play against Tigers
BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College women's lacrosse closed out their non-conference schedule with a loss to Wittenberg University, Friday afternoon.
THE BASICS
Final Score: Wittenberg 18, Bethany 6
Records: Hanover (6-4), Bethany (2-5, 0-0 PAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers held full control of the game, leading 7-0 before the Bison found the back of the net. Karley Trinidad put the Bison on the board. Lexie Reid found the back of the net shortly after Trinidad.
- With under a minute to go in the first half, Jada Carter scored on free position shot.
- Bethany trailed 10-3 at the half.
- The Tigers put up six goals in the third and two in the fourth to take the game from the Bison.
BISON TOP PERFORMERS
- Abbie Carpenter led the Bison with two goals.
- Jada Carter had one goal and one assist.
- Lexie Reid led with six draw controls.
- Leah Crihfield had 14 saves for the Bison.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Bethany had 28 turnovers and went 9-for-16 on clear attempts.
- Both teams struggled with free position shots. Bethany went 2-11 while Wittenberg went 3-8.
- The Tigers took 37 shots.
