Women’s Soccer falls to No. 4 Thomas More

Oct. 26 - CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Bethany women's soccer team was defeated by No. 4 Thomas More 2-0 on Wednesday at BB&T Field.

Bison goalkeeper Anna Riddle (Mt. Pleasant, Pa./Mt. Pleasant) put together a career day, stopping 18 of 45 shots. 

Brittany Fullbright (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) tried to net the early advantage in the 10th minute but the keeper was there for the save.

The Saints offense forced a lot of early pressure but Riddle and the Bison defense held tough before the hosts cracked the scoreboard in the 19th minute. The score would hold until the break as Riddle registered eight first half saves.

In the second half, the Saints retained their offensive pressure but Bethany's defensive front kept the deficit at 1-0 until the 77th minute when the hosts tallied their second goal. 

With the loss, Bethany drops to 2-13-1 (0-7-1, PAC) while the nationally ranked Thomas More improves to (17-0-1 (8-0-0, PAC). The Bison end their regular season on Friday when they travel to Thiel for a game slated to start at 5:30 p.m.
