Fullbright tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District

BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 27) – Bethany College senior midfielder Brittany Fullbright (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) was named a 2016 First-Team College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District II honoree announced the organization Thursday afternoon.

Fullbright is now eligible for consideration for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, which will be announced later this month.

An All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) selection last season, Fullbright is tied for the team lead in goals and ranks second on the team in points and has started all 16 games this season. She currently maintains a 3.98 grade point average (GPA) while pursuing a degree in biology.

This marks the second-straight year that Fullbright has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District II selection.

To qualify for the academic all-district honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative 3.30 GPA or higher and must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution. Nominees must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials.

The Academic All-District teams include student-athletes divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division Academic All-America Team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
