Chambers Tabbed PAC Offensive Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Pa. (BethanyBison.com) – Freshman Grace Chambers (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) of the Bethany College Women's soccer teamed was honored as the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performance for the period ending Sept. 9. Chambers is the first member of the team to receive this accolade this season under Head Coach Afrim Latifi.

Chambers was instrumental in the Green and White's pair of 2-1 road victories last week. The Uniontown, Pa. native netted both goals in Wednesday's (Sept. 5) win against Franciscan before going on to tally both of Bethany's goals in Sunday's (Sept. 9) triumph against Lycoming. The freshman tallied the game winning goal in both matchups against the Lady Barons and the Warriors.

For the season, Chambers leads both the PAC and the Bison with five goals and 11 total points.

Chambers and the Bison return to action Wednesday, Sept. 12, when they take on the Mounties of Mt. Aloysius College for a non-conference matchup. Action inside the Ray and Louise Walker Athletic Field Complex is slated for 5 p.m. with the men's game following up at 7:30 p.m.
