Women's Soccer Lead Slips as the Bison Falls to Marietta

BETHANY, WV. (BethanyBison.com) - A pair of second-half strikes from Marietta College handed the Bethany College women's soccer team a 2-1 loss Wednesday night, Sept. 19.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Freshman Grace Chambers (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) showed why she is one of the top strikers in the conference as her 31-minute strike got the Bison on the board for a 1-0 lead.

  • Coming out of the half, the Pioneers got an equalizer off at the 65th mark, before a double assist goal with just over 15 minutes remaining sealed Marietta's win.

MATCH NOTES

  • In between the posts, senior Hunter Webster (Newark, Del./Newark) saw 90 minutes of action as she made six saves on the night.

  • Chambers continues to lead the Green and White and the PAC with six goals and 14 points.
