Women's Soccer: Bison cruise in win over Cougars

BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's soccer team hosted Chatham University in a PAC contest Wednesday afternoon. The Bison had five different scorers to defeat the Cougars, 5-2.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Bethany's Brionna Bash lifted the scoring lid for the Bison, scoring a goal in the 11th minute.
  • The Bison doubled their lead after Jada Benjamin found Jordan Palmer in the 19th minute.
  • Chatham would get on the board in the 25th minute after a shot was saved by Corinne Grabow but deflected off a Bison defender into the net.
  • Jada Benjamin scored her first goal of the match with an assist from Brionna Bash under a minute later.
  • Bethany led 3-1 after the first half.
  • In the second half, Brooke Fuleki and Ally Barclay both had goals to extend the Bison lead.
  • Chatham added one goal in the 84th minute.

The Bison return to action on Saturday, Oct. 7th when they host Saint Vincent College in a PAC contest on Don Ault Field at 1 pm. The Bison will honor their two seniors prior to the match.
