Crockett tabbed PAC Rookie of the Week
GREENVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 4) - Bethany College women's tennis freshman Wesley Crockett (Fort Stockton, Texas / Fort Stockton) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week announced the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Crockett combined to go 3-1 for the Bison during the opening week of competition. She went 1-1 at number one singles, falling to Geneva's Katherine Deitrick 6-4, 6-0 before earning a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Pitt-Greensburg's Nadine Khalil.
Crockett also teamed up with fellow freshman Megan McDonald (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) to go 2-0 at number one doubles.
Crockett and the rest of the women's tennis team will return home on Thursday, September 6 for their PAC opener versus Washington & Jefferson at 4 p.m.
