Bison Women’s Track and Field Picked to Finish Seventh in Preseason Poll

Bethany, W. Va- The Bethany College Women's outdoor track and field team was chosen to finish seventh in the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) preseason coaches' poll Friday afternoon.

Westminster College was picked by the league's nine head coaches to capture this year's title.

Among the top performers chosen in the PAC's Athletes to Watch List are a quartet of Bison. Freshman Grace Chambers and junior Amanda Gower look to pace the women on the track followed by seniors Leighanna Frantz and Patience Frazier to lead the Bison in the field events.

Chambers paced the women finishing second in the 400m and sixth in the 200m at the PAC Indoor Championships. Chambers competed at the ECAC Championships late February and finished sixth in the 400m.

Frazier set the tone for the Bison at PAC's finishing second in weight throw while Frantz finished fifth in high jump.

At PAC Indoor Championships Gower finished fifth in the 400m.

The Bison open up the outdoor season at WVU on Saturday March, 23.
