Women's Track and Field: Tice and Mahaffey set school records at Westminster Invitational
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – It was a record breaking weekend for female track and field athletes' sophomore Alexis Mahaffey and junior Grace Tice.
Mahaffey finished 7th in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 37.97m, setting the school record. She is the first Bethany College female athlete to compete in the event.
Tice finished first in javelin with a throw of 40.99m. Her throw broke the school record previously held by Patience Frazier who threw a mark of 38.92m. Tice currently ranks 7th in the NCAA DIII in javelin.
