The Bison Advance to the PAC Semifinals This Friday

BETHANY, WV. (BethanyBison.com) - The Bethany College Volleyball team opened the PAC Quarterfinal with a 3-0 sweep of Thiel College.  With the win, Bethany College will head to New Wilmington, PA and take on Washington & Jefferson in the PAC Semifinal on Friday.

• Records: Bethany 20-9, 13-3 PAC | Thiel 14-20, 6-10 PAC  

BETHANY VS. THIEL

• The Bison and the Tomcats traded points early in the first set.  The Bison then jumped out to a 17-11 lead led by two service aces by Emily Duke.  Bethany went on to win the first set 25-15.
• Bethany found a similar groove midway through set two as a 10-10 set ballooned to a 18-12 lead for the Bison.  The charge was led by two Katie Sparks kills and a service ace from Keili Terry.  Bethany took set two 25-18.
• Set three provided sparks of their own as no lead was more than three points until the Bison closed out the match with a 25-21 set three win. 

UP NEXT

• The Bison advances to the conference semifinal to take on Washington & Jefferson in New Wilmington, PA (Westminster College) on Friday, November 2 at 8:00 p.m.  The other semifinal will feature host Westminster College squaring off against Geneva College at 6:00 p.m.
