Match Overview
Bethany College women's volleyball hosted the Westminster Titans in a PAC showdown Tuesday evening inside Hummel Field House. The Bison defeated the Titans in a five set thriller, 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 20-25, 16-14).
The Bison jumped out and took the first set to set the tone for the night. Bethany and Westminster exchanged the next three sets to take the match into the fifth set.
The green and white struck first in the final set. The Bison and Titans battled back and forth until the Bison took a 5-2 lead. Westminster battled the Bison to knot the set up at 9-9 and eventually took a 13-11 lead. After a Bethany timeout, Westminster earned a kill to take the lead to 14-11. The Bison scored five straight points to give the green and white the final set, 16-14. Senior outside hitter Katie Sparks had four of the Bison's last five points.
