Barrus Wins Bracket; All Five Place in Open

Bethany entered five wrestlers at their respective weights in the Millersville Women’s Open. Every wrestler placed at the tournament, with the Bison having two finalists and a champion. Three Bethany wrestlers got their first college victory: Shanielah Kirk, Kasey Kophazy, and Sophie Diaz.
Barrus Impresses in Inaugural Competition

Bethany’s 160 pounder bursted onto the scene. Barrus walked out of the gym wearing a silver medal which she earned from pinning her way to the finals.

Bethany College Director of Athletics Brian Sansom has appointed experienced women’s wrestling coach Peter Di Pol to lead the Bethany women’s wrestling program ahead of their inaugural season.
