Cross Country Competes at Waynesburg University Invitational
WAYNESBURG, Pa. (BethanyBison.com) - The Bethany College cross country teams ran in the Waynesburg University Invitational Saturday, Sept. 22.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

On the men's side, sophomore Andrew Weiss (Washington, Pa./Linsly (W.Va.)) had a top-25 finish as his team-best mark of 29:34 was good for 22nd place. Fellow sophomore Josh Sanderlin (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) finished just outside of the top-50 with a time of 31:53.

Freshman Kelly Hofmann (Austintown, Ohio/ Austintown Fitch) led the women's pack as she crossed the line at 27:26 for 83rd place.

As a squad, Bethany finished 10th overall in the women's heat with a final score of 317.

The Bison will take a week off before returning to the course Oct. 6 when they travel to Erie, Pa. for the Mercyhurst/Gannon Invitational. The race will begin at 11 a.m.
