PAC releases men's and women's cross country preseason polls

Greenville, Pa – The Bethany College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams were picked to finish sixth and eighth, respectively, in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) annual preseason coaches' poll announced Tuesday afternoon.

Waynesburg University was selected number one on the women's side, while Saint Vincent was chosen to finish first this year in the men's preseason poll.

The Bison are led by ninth-year head coach Michael Guinn. The green and white will be led by juniors Josh Sanderlin and Andrew Weiss. The women will get a boost from sophomore Courtney Walker and newcomers Summer Whelan and Danielle Williams.

Weiss finished 18th at the PAC Championship helping the men earn seventh. The women finished eighth.

The Bison open up the season on Friday, August 30, at Westminster beginning around 4 pm.

The annual Bethany Invitational will follow, as the Bison welcome teams from across the region to the northern panhandle on Saturday, September 7, beginning around 10 am.
